Assistant Bandmaster


 

Staff Sergeant John Bradbury is one of our newest members, yet, he is no stranger to the Regimental Band. He first joined the CLB. in 1962 and served as a member of the band from 1967 until 1971 when he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a musician. S/Sgt. Bradbury returned to the CLB. Regimental Band in 2005 and was appointed Assistant Bandmaster in the spring of 2006. He has served with a number of forces bands including the Royal Canadian Artillery Band, the Stadacona Band of Maritime Forces Atlantic, and as bandmaster at CFB Greenwood. He has recently retired after 34 1/2 years service and having attained the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.

During his military service, S/Sgt. Bradbury was awarded the Special Service Medal, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration 2nd clasp.
