Staff Sergeant John Bradbury is one of our newest members, yet,
he is no stranger to the Regimental Band. He first joined the
CLB. in 1962 and served as a member of the band from 1967 until
1971 when he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces as a musician.
S/Sgt. Bradbury returned to the CLB. Regimental Band in 2005
and was appointed Assistant Bandmaster in the spring of 2006.
He has served with a number of forces bands including the Royal
Canadian Artillery Band, the Stadacona Band of Maritime Forces
Atlantic, and as bandmaster at CFB Greenwood. He has recently
retired after 34 1/2 years service and having attained the rank
of Petty Officer Second Class.
During his military service, S/Sgt. Bradbury was awarded the
Special Service Medal, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal
and the Canadian Forces Decoration 2nd clasp.
